Booking Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Toowoomba Homestays. To ensure a smooth and transparent experience for all guests, please take a moment to review our Booking Terms & Conditions.

Payment Terms (Direct & Website Bookings)

When booking directly with us via our website:

50% Deposit: A deposit of 50% of the total booking amount is required at the time of reservation.

Remaining Balance: The remaining 50% will be automatically charged 5 days prior to check-in to the same credit card used for the initial booking.

Credit Card Details: By booking, you authorise Toowoomba Homestays to securely store and charge your credit card for the balance, security bond, and any applicable charges related to your stay.

Security Bond

To protect our properties and maintain a high standard for all guests:

A refundable security bond of $200 is held as part of your booking (not applicable for Airbnb bookings).

The bond is pre-authorised 24 hours before check-in and automatically released 3–7 business days after checkout, provided there are no damages, excessive cleaning, or breaches of house rules.

You will be notified via email if any deductions are required.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing via email to qualify for a refund.

More than 14 days prior to check-in: Full refund of any payments made.

Between 14 and 5 days prior to check-in: 50% refund of the total booking amount.

Less than 5 days prior to check-in: No refund unless the property is rebooked for the cancelled dates.

We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance to protect against unforeseen changes to your plans.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in: From 2:00 PM AEST on the day of arrival.

Check-out: By 10:00 AM AEST on the day of departure.

Early check-in or late check-out: Requests must be made the day before your arrival or departure, as availability cannot be confirmed earlier. Additional charges may apply.

Occupancy & Guest Policy

Each property has a clearly stated maximum occupancy that must not be exceeded.

Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight unless prior written approval is obtained.

Parties, events, or unauthorised gatherings are strictly prohibited.

Cleaning & Damages

All properties are professionally cleaned prior to your arrival.

Guests are expected to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.

Excessive mess, rubbish, or failure to follow house rules may incur additional cleaning or damage charges, deducted from the bond.

Pets

Pets are welcome at Toowoomba Homestays, subject to conditions.

Guests are responsible for any damage or mess caused by pets during their stay.

Please let us know at the time of booking if you will be bringing a pet so we can ensure everything is prepared for your arrival.

House Rules & Guest Responsibilities

By confirming your booking, you agree to:

Abide by all house rules provided at the time of booking and those displayed within the property.

Be respectful of neighbours and observe local noise regulations.

Report any damages immediately to avoid delays in the release of your bond.

Liability & Insurance

Toowoomba Homestays is not liable for any injury, loss, theft, or damage to guests or their belongings during the stay.

Guests are responsible for their own travel insurance and safety while on the premises.
